Senior Project Implementation Manager, Mechanical/Equipment

Location: Washington D.C. Area,
Salary will be based on experience and qualifications.

High Level Tasks:
  • Support the execution of capital projects by facilitating the development of project scopes, project delivery methods, and implementation strategies.
  • Plan, oversee, and coordinate the development of actionable project scopes, schedules, and budgets. Facilitate detailed analysis of project delivery methodologies and the delivery of recommended delivery methodologies for capital projects.
  • Support department leadership (PDIP Director, Project Delivery & Implementation Strategy and Vice President, Project Development and Implementation Planning) in the develop of departmental goals, measures, and reports. Translate departmental goals into actionable and executable tasks for department staff. Monitor and evaluate team’s performance against department goals.
  • Coordinate with PDIP project managers through the duration of capital projects to ensure compliance with recommended project development and implementation practices.
  • Recommend reporting methodologies to evaluate the success of development and implementation methodologies for individual projects and at programmatic level.
  • Represent PDIP on various committees, task forces, and teams for matters related to project delivery and implementation methodology.
  • Plan, direct, coordinate, and review the work of support staff; assign work activities and coordinates schedules, projects, and programs; provide constructive feedback; review and evaluate work and makes effective suggestions and recommendations. 
  • Experience Required: 10 years of related experience in Mechanical/Equipment

Education Required: 
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Program, or Business Management
  • MBA/MS, highly preferred.
  • Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
 
Work Experience:
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrated successful experience in overall construction and project management on large-scale capital works projects.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to produce results within a team environment, to develop productive working relationships with external and internal stakeholders and to appropriately challenge or influence decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience with planning or implementing capital projects utilizing alternative methods of project delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning, modeling, forecasting and analysis
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, managing, and implanting complex, high-profile project and programs
